our story

As we approached retirement, we have thought long and hard about what those retirement years would look like.  Would we lounge on a beach sipping mai tais? Move in with our children and grandchildren? Or some other relaxing activity? The answer to all these would be no. We decided that after extensive RV travel and in fact, living full-time in our 5th wheel for 9 years that we couldn’t see that ending.

So, we decided to build our own park, share the fun of camping and exploring new places with all of you.

The search for the ideal location ended a few years ago when we found Iron Bound Cove. As soon as we saw the view, we were sold! We hope you will be too! Then, the fun began... how exactly do you go about building an RV park from scratch? Through research and a few mis-steps, we have succeeded in building a beautiful 75 lot, full service park.

Our rec center, affectionately known as The Barn, offers space for pot lucks, bingo, darts and other gatherings, as well as, providing washroom & shower facilities and a coin-op laundry. Our campstore stocks those easy to forget items and we try our best to stock items on request.

Located on the banks of the Salmon River, we have access to boating and fishing. We are only minutes from Grand Lake via boat. Two communities, Minto and Chipman, located within a 15 minute drive offer shopping, banking, restaurants, mountain biking trails and many other amenities. Within the park, you can relax poolside (coming in near future), participate in Christmas in July and other activities, sing and share stories around your campfire, fish and canoe in our pond or a multitude of other activities.  As you can see by our picture, we are definitely a pet friendly park. Maggie and Sam would love to make new friends.

As a Registered Nurse and a retired Production Planner, we cannot wait for this next stage in our lives. Come camp with us! Make memories and lasting friendships!
